Nothing quite like a little bit of Sublime in the summer.
Well, visa application is off and all sorted (finally). Course registration form is in, and awaiting a signature. And the airplane ticket is... still on hold. But we're getting there. Slowly.
I am getting progressively more excited, and nervous, for fall. I keep wondering what possessed me to study abroad now-- in my Senior year. I'll let you know when I figure it out. But in any case, assuming everything goes to plan *fingers crossed* it will be more than worth it. I'm especially excited about the fact that I don't speak a lick of Czech. Why did I choose to study in a country where I don't speak the language? I take 7+ years of Spanish, and I'm studying in the Czech Republic for a semester. On the plus side, I'm the only one from Trinity going! So I'll truly get a complete cultural immersion experience untainted by familiarity. :) It'll just be nice to get to know a whole group of people afresh. Like freshman year, except... as a senior. Yikes. I'm probably going to be the oldest one there. Ah well, the older the... wiser? And I turn 21 just in time to... go abroad. Where I could have been drinking 3 years ago. Hmm.
But self-deprecation aside, I'm currently just wiling away my summer months (or at least the 8 days of summer so far). Less productive plans ahead than I had hoped, but it is what it is.
I hope to have more exciting updates in the future, but probably not for a while. I hope to join a couple of really great people on making a collaborative YouTube channel to record our experiences, but more about that to come. Much love, and as my friend Chrissy says 'stay classy'
